Applying neutrality to empower your life.
We all tell stories... In fact, our brain processes so much information that in order to make sense of all the information we narrate stories. Here's the thing, psychology tells us that 50% of those stories are not real. Our brains actually delete information you see, so depending on the way you were conditioned by your parents, community, schools, country etc, often you only see one side of the coin, the good OR the bad.
Add to this further complication due to the ego's need to be right. In order for you to be right, they must be wrong, right?! Perhaps not.... You see everything is universally both equal and opposite, Yin/Yang, Night/Day, Earth/Sky, Good/Bad, it all balances out in the end. The key to your empowerment is getting ahead of the curve by applying neutrality to begin with, by viewing & accepting the totality of all that is, including yourself.
“Everything is universally both equal and opposite, Yin/Yang, Night/Day, Earth/Sky, Good/Bad, it all balances out in the end. We must learn to flow with all that is and be open to the idea that we aren't always right (or wrong) in order to free ourselves from the misery of our attachment to only 1 side of the coin. ”
The key to your empowerment is neutrality. In fact, the ability to remain calm (no matter what the outcome), has been noted as the greatest predecessor of success.
Do yourself a favor and catch yourself narrating stories, placing judgement, seeing things from only your side then kick back a moment, detach from the narrative by inserting space between you & the brains need to think (aka narrate), by simply breathing into the space here and remaining neutral. From here you not only place yourself in the best position to succeed, you also place yourself in the place of power, the present.
Next time your faced with challenge, and you catch yourself running away with a story of blame, fear, disappointment or hurt, simply breathe into your power by breathing into neutrality. choose not to feed and further perpetuate the pain that comes with blame. Trust me, it's a lot easier than pretending to "just be positive", (which can leave you feeling inauthentic) and unexpressed/loaded.
The more you practice applying neutrality, breathing without judging, the more free, flowing & empowered you will feel! #beneutral
